This morning I attended the New York Interior Designers’ breakfast and preview of the International Fine Art and Antiques Dealer’s Show here in Manhattan at the Park Avenue Armory. Founded in 1989, the show was New York’s first vetted fair and remains one of the world’s most prestigious art and antique fairs. The glamorous, world-class showcase always attracts the top international dealers with an outstanding selection of superb works of art, featuring everything from antiquities to contemporary art.
I definitely have my favorites at this show – and this year was no exception. Here are some finds I spotted for some of our clients and a sneak peak and what’s hot.
At Maison Gerard, I spotted this amazing light fixture I’m thinking of using in our clients’ 2 story Dining Room:
Douglas Dawson featured these amazing sculptural pieces that will work perfectly in an entry hall in the Hamptons.
I will probably snap up these soft, but graphic prints by Asuka Katagiri I found at Tai Gallery. Perfect for a beach house we’re designing in New Jersey.
Pretty much everything from Anne Autegarten could work on any of our projects.
Perfect artwork for our clients on Riverside Drive here in Manhattan from Japonesque.
Another possible light fixture for the 2 story Dining Room in the Hamptons from Mallet Inc.
Mirrors for a hotel lobby in Midtown Manhattan by Fontana Arte at HMLuther.
I was inspired by this unit from Bernd Goeckler…
If I had a “Best in Show” it would most certainly be this unbelievable fractal resin and steel table also from HMLuther.
Of course there are stunning collections of jewelry, serving pieces, accessories and additional art, but I remained work focused as I perused. Check things out this weekend for yourself!
